Concept language to exempt Easton from 8-30g to be put into a bill for Housing Committee discussion

Thank you to all who took the time to write to our legislators, as we have a huge update from the state legislature on your efforts to help us get Easton and other towns exempted from 8-30g: the process is moving forward!

In today's Housing Committee meeting, which you can watch here, Rep. Tony Scott spoke briefly about multiple topics, including the study of the affordable housing appeals procedure. He described it as a "catch all" for concepts to amend 8-30g, and now, a bill will be drafted and given a number, and if they decide to move forward then a public hearing will be scheduled!

The deadline for the Housing Committee to advance bills out of the committee is March 14, so stay tuned as the process continues. Still a long way to go, but a big step forward today!
